Even if you are basically having fun, it does not mean that your entire body is also having the same kind of fun.

Often, too much enjoyment makes us forget things that are important such as our health.

For instance, when you are engrossed in a video game, you do not realize anymore that you need to eat dinner or that you need to already drink your medicine.

But sadly one of the things that people really forget when engrossed in things like video games and all kinds of computer games is the chair that you use. It may not seem essential to sit on the right chair. After all, anything will do.

It is not like your health will be affected or that you will suddenly lose the game when you are using the wrong chair. But the truth is, the right chair can actually help you with your game and prevent you from experiencing any pains.

Chairs play a crucial role in how we develop our posture. Remember those times when we were young when we were asked to sit straight, with our stomach in and our chest out?

This can be painfully hard but once we get used to it, it will come naturally. When we start slouching again, sitting straight will be hard again. The spine, even though made of hard bones, can be pretty malleable.

It is actually so malleable that it follows the shape of the chair that you use. Ever wondered why there are chairs that have curved backs instead of straight ones. This is designed to help the people who use it with their posture.

Unfortunately, not all people can fit right through a chair and not all chairs are ergonomically designed to fit the spine. Some are just copycats and are made with a curved back without any thought about how it would support the spine. This is often true with products that are cheap and low quality.

Thus it is important that you sit on a chair first and examine how it feels to sit there before you buy it. Do not just rely on the picture or choose based on the color or the aesthetic design.

Try it out and take care of your spine in the process. Remember that playing the video game can be addicting. You will probably be spending the whole day with your back on that chair so be mindful.

The Wii Remote and Nunchuck

Two of the controllers that are constantly going to be in your hands whenever you are playing the Nintendo are the remote, sometimes referred to as the Wiimote and the nunchuck.

Not all games are going to need the nunchuck but some of them will not play unless it is inserted into the end of the remote.

Unfortunately, the nunchuck does not come standard with the Wii game system and must be purchased separately. This is an added expense that tends to frustrate many people who are trying to play games right out of the box.

Fortunately, it is not a particularly expensive accessory but it is one that is necessary to play some games.

The Nintendo game system only comes with one remote so if you plan on playing with somebody else, you should pick up an additional remote and 2 nunchucks at the same time that you pick up your new game system. Not doing this is only going to frustrate you in the long run and it cost you another trip back to the store sooner or later.

Don’t purchase your additional remote and nunchuck by itself. For just a few dollars more, you can get the Wiiplay game that comes with both.

This particular game helps you to learn the ins and outs of the game system and can actually be quite fun on it’s own. Many people have spent dozens of hours playing this particular game with friends and family and continue to do so.

One of the most common problems that people run into is that their remote is not responsive. It may be working to a certain extent but it could be moving your characters in a choppy fashion. There are several different things that may be causing this.

The first thing that you should check is to see if you are having a problem with low or dead batteries. There’s no need for you to replace the batteries in order to check this, it can easily be checked from the options menu on the Wii home screen.

Look at the bottom of your remote in order to see which number it has been assigned. Match that number with the remote on the screen and you will easily be able to see how much life your batteries have left.

Here is a great tip, buy yourself a battery charger and re-chargeable batteries and keep it next to the console, that way you will always have fresh batteries to play.

WOW Going For The Gold

The World of Warcraft (WoW) is a game that is played by some 12,000,000 people and is still growing.

One of the things that every one of these people has in common is a need to have a sufficient cash (gold) flow for their characters.

Now, some people are pretty clued in on how to make gold in WoW and some have actually made a business of it. They farm the items that they then sell to vendors or other players, amass large amounts of gold, then sell that gold to players for real cash.

Blizzard, the Creator of WoW, frowns on this, by the way, and has been known to ban the accounts of people who buy gold.

So for the rest of us here’s a short guide on how to increase your World of Warcraft Gold account.

Download the Auctioneer Addon (google it) and install the thing. You want the full suite and you’ll want to read the documentation and learn how to use it. Why? You’ll find that it’s a really big help in learning the market for your server, which is an essential step to making real gold.

Make an alternate character as your dedicated banker. You’ll take this character to level 5 (class and race don’t matter) and take it to the nearest big city. Then pick up the “enchanting” skill, which you’ll use to disenchant low level items.

Your banker will never level again (unless you want to buy up that enchanting skill someday.)

All your other characters will use the banker to sell their stuff, buy stuff, and send stuff here and there. Find a stack of ore? Hit the nearest mailbox and send it to the banker to sell. A pile of green items from your last instance run? Off to the banker.

Need gear for your main character? Your banker buys it and mails it off to you. Need more storage space? Use the mailbox. Mail stuff to your banker, the banker returns it, and you let it sit in the mailbox until you need it.

Gathering the gold

Pick up Mining and Skinning as your two professions (make sure you buy a pick and a skinning knife!) Skin everything that’s skinnable all the way to level 70. Skins always sell well and some sell for several gold per stack of 20. Some of the Outlands skins sell for several gold each.

Ore is all over the place. Start with copper and mine everything you can. Use your “smelting” skill to smelt the ore into bars which will drive up your mining skill. Ore always sells well, the better stacks going for 30 gold or so each, but those Outland skins are far more valuable.

The Gatherer Addon is a big help here in that it will mark your map as you find stuff, so you can do efficient gathering routes later on.

As you kill, main, and slaughter your way across Azeroth and the Outlands you will see plenty of item drops in addition to the skins you pick up. The item names will be colored grey, white, green, blue (rare), and purple (really really rare.)

Everything white or better goes to your banker (unless your main can use it) for sale on the Auction House. Many green items won’t sell very well so those should be disenchanted into their magical parts and those parts are then sold.

Learn the Auction House.

Use Auctioneer and your own observations to best estimate the best price to sell any particular item, which will vary from time to time. Thursday through Saturday is the best time to sell stuff, Sun eve through Tuesday is the worst.

For example, you collect some “Large Fangs” from StrangleThorn Vale. They’re white, but you might be tempted to sell them to the vendor. DON’T!! Looking at your Auctioneer tooltip you might notice that they sell for around 1 gold each (which they really do.)

Ship them to your banker and have that character search the Auction House. Find out what the going price seems to be (which may even be more than 1 gold each) and price those teeth appropriately. Price too high and they don’t sell, price too low and I’ll buy them and resell them at a (much) higher price.

Keep your eyes open for the prices of items as you gather them and you’ll start to learn what to gather, how to best sell it, and how to make some serious gold.

It’s a good idea to ask local stations and charities when they have events, and look out for the PlayStation 3 as a top prize.

Some websites promote a free PlayStation 3 as part of a promotional and marketing campaign where you sign up for other offers. Some of these offers are free, while others require initial charges that can be cancelled at a later time. Once a series of offers is completed and submitted, the company promises to deliver a free PlayStation 3 for the efforts. A few of them also add a competition or contest to qualify you in a drawing or raffle along the way.

In either case, it’s important to follow up and sign up for the offers you have interest in. It’s also important to read all the guidelines carefully so that you do qualify for the free PlayStation 3 when it’s all over as most of these so called “Free” Playstation offers are not really free and are basically just rip-offs. I personally stay away from these offers.

Some companies such as car dealerships, luxury vacation packages, and other high-ticket item sellers might package a free PlayStation 3 console along with the sale. It’s a good idea to find out all the details of the promotion, but there is a chance that you can get a free PlayStation 3 when you sign the lease for your new car or luxury home!

How PlayStation 3 Has Become A Giant in the Industry

The launch of the high demand PlayStation 3 in U.S. markets began in late 2004, but the actual product release hit retail shelves on November 11, 2006. Millions of PlayStation fans from around the country counted down the days to the launch date, armed with their pre-registration cards and other proof that showing they were in the running for the highly prized console.

The PlayStation 3 has quickly gained media and public recognition with its promotions and heavy marketing campaigns within the video game market. PlayStation 3 offers unique games and a highly attractive console design. It appeals to a large market and households, and offers unique features that include wireless internet access and controllers, the ability to network with friends online, and being able to watch movies, videos, and listen to music conveniently in one place. It is compatible with other consoles, and is easily portable.

The console has become a giant in the industry because of its large customer and fan base, hat was also ready and able to pre-order the console itself well ahead of the public launch. Customer-driven sales of any product are the most profitable, and Sony was able to carry this out effectively with its marketing campaign and customer approach. The company launched a popular product in a ‘hungry’ market, and quickly gained market share because of an effective sales and marketing strategy.

Mastering Guitar Hero

Into Guitar Hero but can’t seem to sound like Joe Perry? Here are a few tips which may help you become the top guitar hero in your circle of friends

Guitar Hero 3 is one of the world’s most popular games… but mastering it will take a bit of time.

The typical guitar hero strum involves one push of the strum button while holding down the fret buttons associated with the notes. While this strategy works well for songs on the lower level difficulties, as you begin to push yourself to the next level, you’ll want to begin incorporating pull offs.

A pull off is one of the most difficult techniques to master in guitar hero 3. It requires precision timing and quick reflexes. Only certain song sections have pull off sections in them. The sections will be denoted by notes that have a white border, as opposed to the typical black one.

If you have 3 notes, let’s say green, red, and yellow, in order one right after another you could complete these notes using the pull off technique. When the first note hits, you’ll want to have all 3 fret buttons pressed down. This is the start of the pull off, and the only time during the technique that you will press the strum button.

As the notes ascend the scale you simply “pull off” the already completed fret notes as they pass across your screen. This type of action allows you to play songs and note combinations that would otherwise be too difficult to strum manually. If you want to start playing the most difficult songs on the hardest levels in the game then pull off is a technique you will need to add to your tool belt and master.

The most difficult aspect of nailing your pull offs is getting the timing down pat. On the more difficult songs, the note combinations are quite literally flying by you on the screen. You’ll have to slowly memorize the location of the pull off note combinations to really make this technique effective. But with a little bit of practice and persistence there’s no question you can start nailing those pull off’s and shredding the scales.

Another technique you may consider is the hammer on.

A hammer on is basically a pull off in reverse. Instead of pressing all of the buttons initially, you simply hold down each fret button as the new note comes onto your screen. Much like the pull off, this allows you to play increasingly faster and more difficult note combinations.

While it may take you some time to get accustomed to these new techniques, once you have them mastered and burned into your muscle memory, you too can be a guitar hero!
